The Barcelona Maritime Museum is an institution dedicated to maritime culture with over 75 years of history, which has the mission to preserve, study and dissemination of the collections of major maritime heritage of the Mediterranean. The contest project was the restoration and improvement of the building and renovation of the museum design. Graphically, we proposed to overlap the concepts of the Musuem : the sea and the shipyards, the wave and the dam, nature and man. We developed two overlapping reading levels, on one hand organic texture (waves, scales, cobblestones, rocks, sand …) and on the other a symmetrical transparent (land, bay, beach dock …). Overlap as the sea and earth to form various shapes and colors. In turn, can function as independent elements conjugated to another without losing the overall and individual character of the Brand.
